What is the difference between Perimade & Co. and other company's jewelry under $20?

Unlike most jewelry selling under $20 have base metal made with alloy or other types of low-grade metal, at Perimade & Co., we guarantee the base metal for all our jewelry is either solid 925 sterling silver or higher grade metal. To achieve that, we work directly with factories and workshops and manage our supply chain with super high efficiency.

Is Perimade & Co. jewelry hypoallergenic?

Yes, all materials we use are lead-free, nickel-free, and hypoallergenic. We insist all of our jewelry must be made of either solid gold, or sterling silver dipped in gold or rhodium (depending on color). Please see the exact materials listed under each item.

Will my Perimade & Co jewelry tarnish if I wear them all the time?

We tested all our jewelry and they hardly tarnish since we plated gold on top of the 925 silver base metal. However, we still recommend proper care of your jewelry including clean them with dry soft cloths to keep them shine over years.

Will my Perimade.com purchase arrive gift-wrapped?

I’ve noticed you sell different type of pearl earrings and necklaces. What is the difference?

All of our pearls are special but they do have some differences. Our Mother of Pearl jewelry are imitation pearls, which have the look and feel of real pearls but at a fraction of the price. They’re great for traveling! Our Premium Pearls are hand-selected freshwater cultured pearls, which are 95% blemish free and have a really high luster. Finally, our Ultra Premium Pearls are Japanese Akoya, which come from a completely different oyster that gives even more luster and shiny finish. Most of our consumers prefer our Mother of Pearl or Premium Pearl, but we have found real pearl lovers enjoy the Ultra Premium Pearl.

What are the differences in sizes for pearl earrings, brilliant stud earrings, or pearl necklaces?

Our most popular stud size is the 8mm; they’re perfect for an everyday, classic look. We recommend the 5mm for the minimalist who prefers a more understated look. This is also a great option for a younger consumer. Our 10mm is for those who like to make more of a statement with their jewels. 

Our two most popular pearl necklace sizes are The Pearl Choker, 14-16 inches long, and The Princess Necklace, 17-19 inches long. The Pearl Choker compliments almost any neckline and can be worn both day and night. The Princess Necklace is the most common length of pear necklaces. It works best with crew and high necklines, or deep plunging necklines. This is considered the classic pearl necklace length, which makes it the best choice if you’re unsure about which to buy.

Do Perimade & Co. offer any type of warranty for your jewelry?

Yes. We offer a warranty on all of the jewelry purchased from our website, within 90 days, or 3 months, of purchase. The jewelry must be purchased directly from this website, and will not be eligible for a warranty if purchased through a third-party site. 

How can I figure out what to wear with my jewelry or what type of gift to buy?

How should I store and care for my jewelry?

We recommend giving your jewels occasional breaks from wear and storing them in a jewelry organizer. Our suede pouches are perfect for traveling with your jewelry. To ensure a long-lasting finish on your jewelry, please avoid contact with moisture and liquid cosmetics—this includes body oils, lotions, sunscreen, or makeup. We recommend taking your jewelry off before showering, bathing, or swimming.

How do I care for my sterling silver jewelry?

PERIMADE only uses sterling silver, one of the most beautiful and lustrous of all metals. Sterling silver is a precious metal and may require cleaning from time to time. With proper care, your silver will retain its beauty and character for many generations to come. You can find care tips here.

How should I store my silver?

Silver should be kept absolutely dry. If your silver is used frequently, keep it away from excessive exposure to air and store it in a tarnish-proof cloth, such as the flannel pouch provided with your Perimade & Co. silver, or a silver storage box. Good storage boxes are lined with tarnish-proof fabric and have a separate space for each individual piece. If your climate is humid, place a small packet of desiccant crystals inside your storage area, whether it is a closed box or a flannel roll. Avoid contact with rubber bands or other rubber products. The sulfur in rubber causes tarnishing and corrosion.

How can I handle my sterling silver products that have an oxidized finish?

The sterling silver orchid products that have oxidized finish are not coated on the surface. Please avoid using a silver polisher. Please use a dry, clean cloth and avoid scratching.
